______________

Artist Bio:

Cat Terrones is a new and emerging voice in Folk music. A recent Kerrville New Folk finalist and a New Song/LEAF finalist, she is finishing her first full-length album project, 'Sun & Dark' to preview at FAI.

As an artist, Cat is celebrated for her ability to connect audiences with the power of nature, through evocative music and a reinvention of traditional influences and stories into relevant works.

Her uncanny ability to draw listeners in with unique vocals and engaging lyrics has quickly raised Cat's visibility as an emerging singer-songwriter. Cat's upcoming album, Sun & Dark, delivers vivid imagery, cinematic storytelling, poetic lyricism, and a deep connection to nature, with a sonic palette that seamlessly weaves Celtic, Americana, Pop, and Roots influences.

Cat's songs call on big, current, timeless topics, through the lens of personal and collective stories; Give Back Rain is Climate Change, water rights, and personal/collective sacrifice. Meadow Trail is about a relationship being swept away, but also calling to the soul of humanity, however beautiful and broken, to see our own beauty before it's too late. Wildflower is a love song and an allegory for humanity's relationship to nature. Carry You is inspired by and dedicated to the refugees in crisis coming out of the Middle East.

Cat's debut album is a love letter to the soul of the world. As an artist, Cat is a vital and fresh voice in the collective wave of consciousness-raising in Folk music today.
